Joe never gave up his passion for football, signing as a free agent with the Eagles in 1988, and later played minor league football for the Charlotte Barons in 1989. He then went on to coach for several high school teams including ten years as the Head Coach for Sun Valley HS, where he led the team the team to three division titles.
While coaching Joe joined his father's CPA firm where he developed a solution to a niche need by bringing private business practices to public sector entities.
Joe got his start in the public sector as the School Board Director and then President, is a former Aston Township Commissioner and later became the President of the Board. He also served on the Bureau of Elections and is the current President of the Delaware County Tax Collection Committee.
Joe was diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson's disease and is very active in the Parkinson's community. He and his wife Sarah speak all over the United States on behalf of a Parkinson's drug. Always a coach, he motivates and is an inspiration to others with the disease and their care partners. Besides speaking on panels, at seminars, to support groups, and most recently on virtual platforms, he has been featured on many Parkinson's Podcasts, including "When Life Gives You Parkinson's" a Canadian Podcast.
Joe resides in Aston with his wife Sarah and their combined seven children.
